Ideas That Started The REEL’s Turning
Entrepreneurs are the backbone of America…and as President Obama said, “This is the Century of the Entrepreneur”.
A good friend and mentor is a successful businessman and author. He has written a book called “A Leader Becomes A Leader”. This is a great inspirational book of so many well known famous individuals. From his own experiences, it was his suggestion that the YBR Project form a dual enterprise to benefit our students, our partners, our educators and our supporters.
REEL College Ventures’™ mission is to create a digital reality video and audio diary of college-supported entrepreneurs as they progress through the various stages of their ventures. We will capture, share, and discuss their visions, energy and successes, along with their road blocks, challenges and disappointments. REEL College Ventures™ will be a smarter reality series that inspires, motivates, educates and entertains.
Venture accelerator groups and entrepreneurial clubs are all the buzz on today’s college campus’. For example, there are 5 such venture accelerators in my local market that I am familiar with. All have advisory councils, board members, mentor groups, gap funding and pro bono affiliations for when these ventures move to the “go” stage. Currently YBR Reality is working with one such venture accelerator group and 3 Ventures that are from the local college market.
